What they say about me...

The charts I bought from you were read/played (with no rehearsal time) with my band at a gig on Saturday. They worked like a charm. Thanks!!

Hi, Dave. I just ran through your charts. They really are impressive.
-Jose

Thank you Dave, I'll run this by the ensemble Sunday, if it works, I'll come right home and pay pal you. This is great service. Thanks!
-Ari

Thanks Dave! You are a savior.

Yeah those will work perfect. I just made the payment, and WOW...that was a REALLY FAST turn-around....just like you said it would be.

Just a note of thanks for your extraordinary work! The charts are great and we are so psyched to play them! I have sent payment by Paypal, so please let me know if for some reason you don't receive it. I will certainly pass your name and recommendation along in NYC....great work!
All the best, Ian

Overall, wanted to complement you on your beautifully work. My show this summer will be fantastic because of these charts. Thanks again.

The charts worked perfectly. Just like the record. Thanks for your quick turnaround.

P.S. One of my bands played your charts for Late in the Evening. Flawless craftmanship!

Thanks for helping get the chart so quickly, that was really nice of you, and I sincerely appreciate it. I just sent you $10 by paypal, my band liked the chart, I hope I can purchase some more of your arrangements soon!
Thanks Aaron

This is perfect!! I'll send in payment as soon as I get home! I'll be using you for more charts.

Hi Dave,

I've wanted to email you for a long time now and thank you for the wonderful arrangements you did for a 9 piece band (used on the cruise lines), but until you popped up on Jim Martin's website I had no idea how to contact you.
Back in 1999, I was working in Branson on the Showboat Branson Belle with a 6 piece combo playing big-band style arrangements during the dinner set.
Our employer, Herchend Family Entertainment (you might have seen them featured recently on "undercover boss") wanted us to perform a big-band segment as part of Silver Dollar City's American Music festival that spring. Our MD knew of your stuff from working cruise ships and he arranged to have SDC purchase your entire catalogue of arrangements from there. We hired 3 horn players from another show and performed 3 hour long sets for 3 weeks during the festival.
It was a very fun time.
Your writing is inspiring. Being an aspiring arranger myself, I've studied your music to try and understand how you got such a full sound out of 9 pieces. Your use of the trombone to fill out sax soli sections is genius.
We recorded most of the performances and the best tracks became our 2nd CD to sell on the boat. Our Trumpet player gave it the perfect title for our audience - "Tribute to the War Years"
It sold very well for the next 6 years, only stopping because the Showboat's management curtailed it.

I just thought you'd like to know what an enjoyable experience it was performing your arrangements. It became for us a very nice "moment in time."

Best Regards,

b
